“Orpheas” Foundation

Since its founding in 1905, “Orpheas” Association has been a motivating force for cultural events in Serres. Through its actions, the association promotes the culture and elevates the intellectual level of Serres’ citizens. “Orpheas” Association also organizes sporting and cultural events. Under the auspices of “Orpheas” many sporting, musical, artistic, educational and scientific activities are carried out. It is worth mentioning that during its first years, the association also served as a hideout for the fighters of Macedonian Struggle. Today, the “Orhpeas” Association building has been designated as a listed building of historical heritage.
